After years of recurring leaks caused by cracking and splitting CPVC supply piping, the ownership at Gresham Central Apartments decided it was time for a full domestic water supply system replacement. Repipe Specialists replaced the failing CPVC with PEX across all 40 units in just three months, keeping the project on schedule and residents comfortable throughout the process. With a hands-on approach that prioritized clear communication and respect for each resident's home, the team ensured the experience was far less disruptive than a project of this scope might suggest.

The Bowie

Defective fire caulking on the CPVC sprinkler piping at The Bowie created an urgent need to replace the building's fire suppression system. At the same time, the property's domestic water supply system, also CPVC, needed replacement. Repipe Specialists was brought in to tackle both scopes simultaneously, replacing the fire suppression piping with steel and the domestic water risers with PEX. The scale of the project speaks for itself. Over the course of 12 months, the team cut more than 10,000 access holes through drywall, installed nearly 31,000 feet of pipe (almost six miles), made more than 10,000 pipe connections, and replaced 4,427 sprinkler heads, all while the building remained fully occupied. Coordinating two full system replacements within a single, resident-occupied high-rise required precise scheduling and constant communication with property management to keep daily life running smoothly from the ground floor to the 36th.

Austin Proper Residences is one of the most premier luxury high-rises in Austin, and when defective fire caulking on its CPVC sprinkler piping put both resident safety and the property's insurability at risk, the ownership group knew the fire suppression system needed a full replacement. Repipe Specialists was selected to carry out the project across all 99 residential units. Located in a city that never slows down, neither could the project. With events like Formula 1, Austin City Limits, and SXSW bringing waves of activity to the building and surrounding area, project scheduling and daily operations were planned well in advance to keep work moving without disrupting residents or guests during the city's busiest stretches. From August 2025 through April 2026, Repipe Specialists replaced the fire suppression system across the entire building, delivering a long-term safety solution while maintaining the standard of living residents expect from one of Austin's most distinguished addresses.
